1300SMILES Mackay

Personally I had a good experience at 1300smiles Mackay branch. I rang around a few different dental practices in town and 1300Smiles seemed to be the most competitively priced, plus they are a preferred provider for my health fund. The ladies on the desk were really nice and my dentist was good too, explained everything to me and was GENTLE. I would recommend them, they are quite professional :)

Absolute dogs, scammed me big time. I moved to Mackay from Katoomba and needed to get a tooth repaired, going back to my old dentist was just way to far to go so i went to smiles. They told me the tooth couldnt be repaired and that i should get an implant. The quote they gave be blew out by more than 2 thousand dollars when i got stage 1 done and i am refusing to pay it! Dr Kimchi also went to start the procedure on an area where a tooth had been pulled years before and wasnt even the correct tooth that the work was to be done on!!! He couldn't even remember what he was supposed to be doing!!! I have since seen my dentist back in Katoomba and he is discusted at what has happened and has advised me there was no way the tooth should have been pulled and that he could have repaired it no problem for a few hundred dollars! Dont go there, you have been warned.

Questionable work, they found a cavity and said it needed to be filled, went to another dentist to get it filled and they couldn't find anything. 2nd dentist said many people had come with questionable work from 1300 smiles. They also pushed whitening products too much. Next door to Gecko's rest hostel so I suppose you wouldn't have to drive home if you had surgery.
