Ordered pumpkin gnocchi and was presented with the most disappointing meal ever. It consisted of 3 pieces of gnocchi floating in a greasy sauce inside a little glass jar, with a pile of burnt rosemary on the side. To make matters worse, when I voiced my disappointment before even touching the "meal" the waiter told me I had to pay for it anyway.... Every other restaurant I've been to offers to replace any meal you aren't happy with. It was going to be the regular meeting place for our group, but not any more.

Every time I come here, I order the Pork Belly (best thing on the menu). The semiferddo for desert is great too!

A beautiful contemporary, fully licensed venue that serves nice cocktails and European-style meals, with French influences, characterized by wine, glace and/or herbs in the cooking. Perhaps some call it modern Australian. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available. We visited in a group of 12 for the first time after battling heavy rain and massive road works to get there. The impression on arrival was that of professional waiting staff running a smooth operation in a very classy, modern, new establishment. The food.... ... came in small serves in need of side orders which were not suggested. The fish and pasta dishes lacked sauce. There was insufficient seafood in the pasta. The red cabbage and beetroot mash did not pair well with the barramundi. The barramundi was overcooked and too dry. Side vegetables with lemon contained limp beans, yellowing broccoli, and dried up undercooked baby carrot. Sourdough garlic bread for the table came to $30. I had braised lamb shank ($29.50) in a beautifully reduced red wine and pepper sauce served over celeraic mash with some wilted English spinach and a side vegetable order ($7.50). The dish was tasty, not spectacular, but of the homestyle that I enjoyed cooking and eating at home. I felt there was too much oil in the dish. The mains was followed by a dessert "special" ($12) of sugar crusted pavlova layered with raspberry sauce and passion fruit puree, a fanned strawberry and raspberry cream ice. The prices were average for a restaurant of this class, except the value was not there due to the small serves. The bread was very expensive where other restaurants offer as complimentary. The dining experience.... .... was ruin by the loud pelting rain on the Vergola roof over the alfresco dining area. Further the fire alarm went off after steam filled the kitchen and the fire brigade came. We were unclear to evacuate. The ambience could have been there for a romantic dinner with the battery powered candlelight. The waiting staff were helpful in the background without being intrusive, which was really nice. The accoustics and restaurant layout did not support a quiet, discreet meal. In conclusion.... ....I love the concept, and the style of food has potential. I'll be back to check out the improvements, and of course, the beautiful setting next to the Swan River during the day.
