4 Pines Brewing Company

After a walk along the beach, the 4 Pines is perfect and right next to the ferry terminal. My ESB ale had body and my wife's stout was up a few levels from Guiness. Plus you sit upstairs on the balcony overlooking the wharf.

Awesome pub. All the beers we tried... So, all their beers were top notch, including the ginger ale (recommending the Stout and Summer ale though) and the food was also great. What really put the extra star for me was the music - no trendy pop bullshit, just good old stuff: Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, etc. And good looking friendly staff never hinders the experience ;))

The Bouddi coast walk on a hot and humid day worked up a well earned feed. The chilli mussels here put other pubs serving 'mussels' in the CBD to shame. Served in a bowl rather than a pot with crusty bread to soak up the hot chilli herb sauce. Perfect with a schooner of the house brew on tap. Even on a Sunday evening it gets busy. Enough said.

Even though I was unable to do the Brewery tour on Friday, it was a great bar. When I walked in, the atmosphere was very chill and bar like. They had different beers on tap that were all very good. My friends and I really enjoyed the descriptions they had to describe their beers and cider and they were spot on. Also their chips we so very yummy!! I cannot wait to go back

Walked the Spit to Manly in the morning and arrived at 4 Pines for lunch. Great spot for a weekday lunch and a few beers. Liked: - $115 tasting plate of 5 beers. Good value to experience all the flavours for a lightweight like me. - EBS. Not heavy. Good caramel taste to it. - Location for those who have come to Manly for a quick visit and don't want to pay high prices for food (Meals from $17 for the burgers) Pub food was standard fare. Tried the burgers, fish and chips, mussels with stout bread, ribs. Mussels were the highlight, burgers the best value feed.
