5 Star Auto Service Centre

I booked in for a mid-range service and was quite happy with the result, although my car is fairly new and didn't have any problems, so was difficult to notice any real improvement. 5 Star did however recommend a brake service "soon as the brake pads were low and the rotors needed skimming". Quote = $480. I was surprised at the cost as changing pads is pretty simple and not expensive. I decided to do it myself - just the front pads (cost $45 for pads) When I removed the current pads the most worn-down pad had over 5mm left - this would easily do well over 10000km of city driving. Why did they recommend a $480 brake service? Who knows. I won't be going back there. Trust is earned and they lost it by recommending work that did not need doing.

FANTASTIC SERVICE....could not have asked for more! Car broke down and these guys collected it, dropped off a free loan car to our home, repaired it and made the whole experience pain free. We would thoroughly recommend Paul and his colleagues to anyone looking for a reliable, cost effective mechanic. We are converted and have switched from our usual service mechanic. Thank you Paul it has been very much appreciated.

As usual great service. If having a car repaired could be enjoyable then I had fun. Having a loan car for free helped keep disruption of my working day to a minimum. Well priced and friendly. I highly recommended these repairers.

Had my car in their workshop for a week with nothing done. Decided to take it to another service centre to get the job done due to lack of action. Paul charged $200 for "diagnosis" on the vehicle, although no diagnostic report could even be given. Avoid this mechanic if you want an honest job done in a reasonable timeframe.
