AAMI, 33-35 O'Riordan Street, Mascot

Absolutely the worst experience ever. My friend's car was hit by an AAMi customer. The car was one owner, always garaged, had many customisations since it was first bought. The car was 20 years old but on car sales websites, similar cars were being sold (depending on the customisations) from between $3000-$6000. AAMI refused to pay any more than half the lowest value we could find because they took the lowest trade in value for the most basic car of that year with absolutely no customisations). AAMI were rude, they held out as long as they could to pay the incredibly low sum of money they offered. They won't supply the assessor's reports even though they were a completely different rate than what our local mechanic came up with. I would keep away from AAMI, they have been a complete nightmare to deal with and my friend, a single mother, is now left with no car and no money to buy a car that would run. Until the AAMI customer ran into the car, the car was in excellent condition, had no problems at all and was very low in km for a car of this age. The panels were all in excellent condition and as the car had always been garaged, the duco was in better condition than my 5 year old car's. Unlucky if you're with AAMI!
