I would like to say firstly that we really enjoyed our time on the river and the staff were quite helpful in getting us up and running when we arrived. However, much like the other reviewers I found the administration and additional charges to be horrible. We paid $1790 to hire a boat for the weekend. Have a car? pay extra for parking. Want a dinghy with a motor on it? pay extra. Lose a $1 sink plug? you guessed time to pay $30 replacement fee because it is a 'special plug for a stainless steel sink' I wasnt born yesterday ALL SINKS ARE STAINLESS STEEL SO THEY DONT RUST!!! By the time everything was said and done we were scammed over $300. Here is the kicker: since they take a $900 deposit, as opposed to doing a pre-authorisation like any credible business, they are able to just deduct these ridiculous charges from your deposit. Your leverage to negotiate the charges down is gone because they already have your money. If you hire from here be prepared togive them your wallet. When it comes to getting the rest of your deposit back (which will be much less than you expect) it takes 7-14 days because they still use an ancient machine where they manually swipe the card and drop in the slips to the bank. Real shame that the admin etc. of this company is so bad because they have great boats and an excellent location. The only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was getting hustled.

AVOID USING THIS COMPANY!!! We booked a 6 berth boat for New Years Eve, I called to change to a 4 berth and then had more people join us so I called again to remain with our original booking. I was told this was fine and would to keep the original paperwork for the 6 berth boat and that there was no need to email through confirmation. We arrived on the 31st of December after driving 4 hours to be told that no 6 berth was available. I was told I didnt not call to change the booking back. Basically we were called liars & laughed at. There was no process of confirmation or follow up which had caused this situation, there was no admittance of the company being at fault, no customer service! We were told that we could have a 4 berth boat and 2 of us could go home! or we could pay an extra $600 for a 10 berth boat! How rediculous when we had done nothing wrong and had paperwork for a 6 berth boat! I even offered to bring up my phone records to show that I had definitely called back again to change the booking back, they didn't care or want to hear it! They were un-helpful, sarcastic and told us they were doing us a favour by giving aus a discount on the 10 berth boat! The manager was too busy to come and talk to us even for a few minutes and we were lied to. We were told 'I dont know where you people come from but just take your deposit and leave. Your not getting a boat now becasue your a risk' because we were obviously upset and shocked at the situation! I seriously could not believe what was happening! Never ever have we dealt with such rude, incompetent, sarcastic, aggressive people in a customer service situation who absolutely did not care that they had traveled so far, that they potentially ruined our NY plans and did not care to even try to hear our side of the storey! We will be taking this as far as we can.

We really want to hear your concerns as to any of the charges or why they were charged so please contact us so that we can resolve or explain them. I'm sorry if you felt like any of our staff acted inappropriately towards your group.
