AJ's Mudgee Guesthouse

We had wanted to visit Mudgee for a while now, as we'd been given a bottle of wine from Huntington Estate, loved it, and felt like exploring the area a bit more. Though we didn't really know the area obviously, AJ's Mudgee Guesthouse turned out to be the ideal base. We could walk to the town centre, there was plenty of room to park the car and it was so nice to come back to our warm, clean and luxurious room & make use of the whole house too at the end of a wintery day, sitting back to a lovely Nespresso coffee & delicious cakes for afternoon tea.. A wonderful treat- we would definitely recommend AJ's to other wine lovers

Wanted to have a nice long weekend away with the wife, but everywhere up the coast was booked out. I did a search for country accommodation, and came across AJ's- and let me tell you, I'm glad I did. From the moment we arrived and found the room nice and warm, cosy (champagne and choccies waiting for us, of course), to having a good sleep in, to curling up with our books in the guest lounge area, it was just such a luxurious yet comfortable stay. I suppose it didn't hurt that the weather was fantastic- definitely try to visit towards the end of Spring, if you can. All in all, you just can't get this kind of value and privacy in the city- definitely worth the drive.

Off street parking? Check. Privacy? Check. Modern well decorated rooms? Check. Luxurious details? Check. I've got to say that AJ's Guesthouse in the Mudgee region checked all our boxes when it came to finding lovely accomodtaion for our little adventure to the local wineries. They just went over and above when it came to providing all those little details that really make a getaway a bit more special than usual. My favourite was the oversized bath towels, big guest living areas and gourmet breakfast - yummo! I felt like a VIP, not a booking number. Will stay again when i have more time off!
