I dont believe this is a true co op I was elected to the members council or board of directors but the other 6 members virtually sacked me straight away they thought what I wanted to do was stupid it seems all I sought to do was expand the social conscience of the organization significantly but it seems all they wanted to do inspite of their claims was concentrate on the business of selling food etc let me also say is that I wrote on their facebook and they replied I got back and refuted their claims because i still had copies of their emails to me but they then just had that erased from facebook altogether

The prices may be a little higher than the average supermarket, but your conscience will thank you for shopping here. All produce is organic and sustainable and they have a wide range on offer (except, strangely, for almond meal). Aside from the fresh fruit and vegetables, they have several flours, nuts, butters, powders, spices and oils as well as household and cleaning products that are good for the environment and for your health. Each item has three pricing levels: normal/member/volunteer, the latter being the lowest as it is for the people who volunteer in the store. Becoming a member is simple; you just pay a one off fee and then you only pay the members' price on items. Bring your own containers, just remember to measure them using the in-store scales as soon as you enter the store, otherwise you might forget!

Amazing range of organic produce!! You are greeted by tubs of organic fruit as you walk in the door, they even specify the location of the produce! Yes the fruit and veg lacks the polish and plasticky shine iPod the supermarket, but this is replaced by amazing flavours, the apples are crisp and just delicious!! Unfortunately the other produce including nuts and a whole host of organic products are priced fairly high...but if you are willing to volunteer your time you could make huge savings with member and volunteer pricing well below the usual retail!! An interesting concept in the 21C and most certainly a concept and store worth pursuing!

Nice organic shop, run by volunteers. Come in with your own jars and fill them with anything, from cereals nuts and flours, to soap and dishwashing liquid. Some stuff there is a bit expensive, but a lot of it is really reasonable for organic products, especially if you sign up as a member.
