We had spent three nights in a two bedroom apartment recently. Our experience were quite different from the other three comments before ours. We find the apartment very spacious and clean. It is well lit with ample 12V 50W dichroic down lights. There are a few table lamps and floor standing lamps. It is well furnished and has all the necessary kitchen utensils and laundry/ironing/cleaning tools or equipment. The airconditioner is efficient and quiet. In fact our apartment is rather quiet despite being on second floor. The reception staff are nice and courteous. We had the opportunity to meet with the manager too when we asked them to show us what the other type of rooms are like. The manager showed us around. The booking manager was also very nice. She helped us to look for a missing item during her own lunch break. This was a day after we had checked out by the way. The mobile phone reception for phone and data were good. No issue using my phone as hot spot for my laptop internet access. The TV in my apartment is 42' I think. There is a DVD player attached to it. It is now winter but we had used the pool and spa. There is a movie theatre in basement level but we did not get the chance to use it. There are electric BBQ area next to the pool. It looks very clean. We did not get a chance to use this facilities too. Maybe during the next visit. By the way, there are many temporary visitor's car parking lots. A lot more then I have seen elsewhere. There are two levels of basement parking behind a locked up garage door. You will need an electronic key to access that and all other facilities eg lifts, pool and gym. My whole family had enjoyed our stay here. We don't have any hesitation to return here in the future.

Have been visiting the GC every year since 2009 and have been to 5 different hotels. Made a wrong decision trying a different hotel -ARTIQUE. Check-in went wrong already. arrived around 1pm from a loooong drive from sydney, fair enough room wasn't available yet; promised by sour-faced receptionists that they will give us a call once it's ready. 3pm came no phone call yet. finally decided to go back to the hotel at 3:30 as I was getting really tired. same staff said it wasn't ready yet and then, another staff corrected her that it has been ready "for ages" Got in the room to find a really dirty, stained, smelly bed cover (seemed like it hasn't been changed). Also got a hinterland view room when I booked a room with ocean views! Manager contacted to voice my complaints who gave me just what I needed no apologies received whatsoever. Could have received far better hospitality from cheaper motels! Totally unpleasant experience from a self-claimed 4.5 star service?

After having staying in many apartments/resorts in various countries i had an expectation of a 4.5 star resort and the Artique Resort isn't quite there. Having said that, the apartments are new with a great pool/BBQ area. The unit is quite small but nice and has a view of the sea. 5 minute walk to the beach and great restaurants. In a rather noisy location but that was fine. The apartment we had ( 2 bedroom) had no stereo/radio, very small TV, limited in terms of kitchen utensils. No decent glasses for a drink. Very, very basic unit. Frankly, rather charge a bit more and provide what should be standard for luxury 4.5 star. My kids were disappointed as there is no games room ( web site mentioned one) Just a tad disappointed. If it had been a 3.5 star, it would have been fine.
