Back of Chapel Backpackers

Good place, good people. Old house with a lot of charm and character where only 40 people can live there, human size, everybody is friendly. Next door to all the good pubs and coffees in chapel street, 10 min from the beach, 15 min from the city. Good cinema with cheap movie next door. Free wifi, breakfast....

When i first arrived it was meant as a temporary stop while looking for a apartment. But after a week staying here i found myself loving it so much i did not even bother looking any further for another place. The place is very clean and gets cleaned every morning. There is a free breakfast every morning. With several things to choose from. The common room feels like a big home living room where u can relax, have a chat, play a game, or watch a movie. The home like feeling makes it easy to get to know your fellow backpackers without compromising your nights rest or privacy. The location ( a side street of Chappell st ) is nearby almost every thing. Public transport is literally around the corner and there is a coles, aldi and woolworth in walking distance. Chappell st is filled with bars, restaurants, clubs, and clothing stores to discover. But because its on a side street of the busy street u don't have to worry about to much noise or disturbance. Overall it is the greatest hostel i have stayed so far. Thx back of Chappell

Fun friendly hostel. Great location just off Chapel Street. Lots to do around the area and great hostel to socialise and make friends! Helpful staff, free WiFi and breakfast and beds changed regularly, would highly recommend!

Back of Chapel is ideally located right next to Chapel Street so you are surrounded by great bars, restaurants and shops. Also great transport to the CBD, the beach and other areas. I've been here over 3 mouths and feel like this is my home away from home. Thanks Aaron, Josh and Kelly!

I came across this Hostel when I first started travelling on my own, and it is truly the best hostel Ive come across. The new owners, Josh and Aaron will go out of their way to help you, which you do not get in bigger hostels. So many good points:The hostel is kept very clean and rooms cleaned weekly, free fast wifi, free breakfast between 8.30-11, beds are made up for you, own lockers in rooms, comfy chill out room where many people like to socialise in the evenings and great location next to chapel st. Cant recommend enough.
