Bar Fred

Here you get a good variety of local (Aussie) micro-breweries and international beers & ciders (German, Belgian, British, French, Irish, Quebecois, Czech, etc…) and some good wines (white, red, rosé & sparkling) Then comes the $5 pizza, when you buy a drink - they are yummy, sumptuously yummy! It's open 7 days a week, yes, and as from 5pm, and yes, the ladies love the place!

Pretty terrible service, but a fantastic selection of beer

They have removed all the tables and chairs at the back so there is nowhere to sit and chat let alone eat your pizza. This use to be one of my fav places but now with the new layout and jazz band playing in the back it is too loud and has lost its feel. (the band was actually good but the venue is just not made for live music) The barmen hung off us like a fly also which made us very uncomfortable. I am a regular of this place and use to love it. The best thing about this place was that it was simple...they did great pizza and beer and you could just hang out and chat...this new layout has killed that. Bring back the tables and chairs and ditch the band I say... Bar Fred you are trying to do too much.

One of my favourite local hangouts. Friendly bar staff, delicious $5 pizzas and a huge selection of craft brews, both local and international. The staff know their beers and it shows by their selection. Epic, 8 Wired, Duvel, St.Ambroise, Timmermanns, Feral etc

$5 wood oven pizzas - great price and very tasty. the beers are well priced too
