Belconnen Way Motel & Serviced Apartments

We stayed for one night with our three children. There was a mix up with our booking as their computer had crashed over the weekend and they had no record of us arriving. After a short conversation and me having my booking number, we were giving two rooms with a door in between. Rooms could do with an update but unlike the other reviews here, ours was clean. Beds were a bit hit and miss, some comfortable and some disgustingly hard. Heating was sufficient for the middle of winter and there was extra blankets provided. We needed a cot and one of the lady's bought one up with more blankets. A few pay tv channels as well as the free to air stations. Free wifi is available but signal is relative to where you are in the building. Also, I found that because its a massive concrete structure, mobile phone reception was limited. A 2 minute walk had me at a variety of shops including an IGA for supplies to use in the kitchenette we had in our room. Overall not a bad stay, one of the larger rooms I've stayed in recently.

Dirty, smelly, old, disgusting. These are just some of the great adjectives that will cross your mind as well. An unpleasant experience will be had. I promise.

$190 for one night in a dirty, disgusting "double room" - it was seemingly the last room available in Canberra when husband and I needed to find a room for the night. Can now understand why - when Canberra is booked out - this motel still has something available. TV did not work. Lounge would not be accepted by St Vinnies - dirty, ragged, and with a still wet greenish blob that may have been toothpaste - the night manager apologised profusely and turned the cushion over. Shampoo sachet opened and used - the street would have been cleaner. Emptied garbage bag left sitting in middle of floor. Staff just suggested complaint online - to get owner to "accept responsibility". They seemed to not disagree, but knew that nothing was likely to change. Watch out for double room 121

Lovely staff!! It's old but what long stay motel isn't has everything you need within walking distance.

THIS ESTABLISHMENT SHOULD BE BULLDOZED DOWN. It is old, old, old ..... and filthy as well.
