Belluci's, Franklin Street

Fantastic food and service. Nothing was to hard to do. Catered well for vegetarians! Really enjoyed my meal and made my wedding anniversary beautiful!

On the whole the food served was pretty good, my friends Pizza was very tasty although my Risotto was quite bland and tasteless. More disappointing was the service. Upon arrival we were seated in our reserved table which was right by the open counter of the kitchen meaning not only did we have waiting staff rushing past us and brushing our backs every 2 minutes, half our table was also under the glare of their heating lamps. After 5 minutes both myself and a friend were starting to sweat under the heat, and when we asked a passing waitress if we could move to one of the other free tables away from the heat she curtly told us she was busy with other things and rushed off. This is a one-off incident and I don't think indicative of the restaurant as a whole, but it did leave a sour taste in the mouth and would suggest to management they encourage all staff to focus on customer satisfaction.

Our waitress was very attentive and was quick to respond to anything asked for. My wife had the seafood linguine which was very well presented and yummy. I had the picante pizza. It was really good but could have been a bit more spicy for my taste. I enjoyed a cold glass of peroni whilst my wife ordered a half bottle of French rose. To finish I had the rich thick chocolate cake and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the tiramisu. Fantastic experience.

We didn't have the best experience. The restaurant's tables weren't even half filled, but we were told we'd have to wait 10 minutes before being seated as the kitchen had a back up of orders. My wife was heavily pregnant at the time and we said we were happy to wait to order, but asked if we could do so seated at one of the tables. The bar man sternly said 'no, you'll have to wait'. I again said we were more than happy to, but could we sit because of my wife. He then proceeded to tell me to calm down (I already was??) and was really quite rude, he then ignored us. Eventually we were seated, and the waitresses were really lovely - I think because they saw how the barman had interacted with us. Food was fine. But my wife never wants to go back due to the barman.
