Blu Grotto Cafe

I could not believe how bad the service was here. We were greeted by a waiter (whom we found out was a part owner!!) who clearly didn't want to be there. I ordered a glass of bubble from the menu & when it was brought out to my table, I pointed out it was the wrong one. He snatched it away and threw it in the bin which smashed the glass & caused a huge scene in the restaurant. The sad thing here was that the food was actually nice & later on, the other part owner (the waiter's brother) came & introduced himself & apologised for his brother's bad service. He explained that his brother was experiencing some personal problems. The damage had already been done I'm afraid. The apology was too little too late.

Blu Grotto on Tedder Ave has new owners. Tried the new menu. Wow! Had a stuffed rack of lamb that was so good that the guy on the next table ordered it when he saw how much I was enjoying mine! lol. The wife had barramundi on an AMAZING curry risotto. The staff we very friendly and even though it was quite busy, they were still friendly and attentive (left a nice tip for their efforts). Definitley going back! Thanks for a GREAT night Blu Grotto!

Owner was awful-After enjoying delicious food and yummy cocktails and good service we were blown away by the arrogance and outright rudeness of the owner-would love to eat here again but won't give him any more of my money

Think the risotto was microwaved. really bad food which is a shame because they seem like really nice people.

We visited 2 years back and the service is still A grade no matter the waitress. Pasta Vongole and Canivore Pizza with chilli is definitely recommended. The Strawberry and white chocolate mocktail is to die for.
