If you are like me and have heard so much about the Bourke St Bakery, but have never tried it, you need to!! Popped in to their Marrickville store, (located just off Victoria Rd) and grabbed a panini, delicious does not describe it!! Light, tasty, not chewy and certainly no floury after taste, bread is their speciality (as the name implies) There were plenty of people mid Sunday morning enjoying pastries and pies and that is my next adventure!! Why 4 stars? The prices are more than anywhere else I have tried...but if you keep it small and simple an affordable indulgence!!

A weekly hangout! Awesome coffee and chocolate milk. Sausage rolls are our favourites, but also ham and cheese croissants. Tarts excellent too - chocolate and raspberry highly recommended by the boys. Busy, though service always good.

Recipe for coping with jet-lag. Long early morning walk down to the BSB in Marrickville then a coffee and a praline and almond croissant. Set me up for the day. Then I had their bread the next day. Equally good. No wonder it's a legend.

The food here is excellent. Love the pastries and little tarts and of course the sausage rolls. The loaves of bread are all delicious. Big let-down here for me is the coffee. Never hot enough and flavour just not right. I think in this area, you HAVE to get the coffee spot on - especially when you have Coffee Alchemy and Double Roasters just down the road.

Solid coffee. Sausage rolls and pies aren't kept warm enough here though. Been here a few times with the same issue. High traffic during the weekends.
