Brickfields, 206 Cleveland Street, Chippendale

One of the best bakeries in the chippendale area. If you are after good quality sourdough, you found the perfect place. They also have yummy treats and croissants and great coffee. Seating is lacking so you might have to buy and go.

Service was scattery. food came 30 minutes later but salvaged by the fact that it was quite good. inconsistent pricing (same coffee is $0.50 more) when we ordered another - and no eftpos. Cakes are quite nice. I can see myself coming back.

Probably my favourite croissant as of Sep-13. Exceptional pastry, nicely browned and perfectly flaky. Haven't tried the bread but looks top-notch through the window. I don't find the staff particularly nice, a bit too cool and uninterested in the customer. Maybe it's just me.

House made flavoured sodas, delicious sandwiches and sweet treats like Persian love cake and the cutest custard tarts. The tiny interior is cosy and offers limited seating. The walls are lined with shelves from top to bottom full of jars and tins, hanging plants for greenery and a mound of sacks are piled up under the counter. This cafe/bakery is a perfect spot for great coffee, tasty sourdough and gorgeous pastries.

Visit this bakery, you won't regret it. This is a cute little bakery that offers cafe services as well. The Mecca coffee is well prepared. I've enjoyed the long black and the latte that have been prepared for me. They have a small menu but it the distinct impression that everything is well thought out and prepared with high quality ingredients. The sourdough is delightful. Try the fig and walnut bread! Seating is limited but your persistence will be rewarded.
