Dutchies Stonegrill Restaurant

My family and I have been going to Dutchies for a special dinner every Australia Day weekend for the last 6-7 years. Most of the time it's been great but for some reason this year the service was painfully slow. It took 20+ minutes just to order drinks which took another 15 mins to be delivered. The food itself took more than an hour. The two staff I noticed seemed to be flat-out. Surely they should have more staff in the busy times ! That aside, I've noticed the prices get more and more expensive every year and the portions smaller. The side dishes are non-existant. I paid $42 for a Rack of lamb .... and got four cutlets, a handful of chips and a small amount of coleslaw .... and that's it ! The food is excellent, no doubt, but very expensive and with very slow service. I think we'll find somewhere else to go next year.

The only strong smell was the beautiful aroma from the sizzling steaks, thus not recommended for vegetarians not wanting redemption.

Me and my partner go.as much as possible great for steak lovers u can cook it how u like it. You will never have a bad steak here 2thumbs up

Tonight was the 3rd time my wife and I have been to Stonegrill, we were served straight away and got our meals within 10 minutes of ordering. I had the marinated mixed grill which includes pork, chicken and beef, the serving was very generous and because I asked for no mushroom they gave me a piece of lamb instead. My wife had the seafood combination and loved it, the mussels and prawns were so fresh! If you are heading to the Island, we strongly recommend you stop by!

We have been driving past this restaurant the last couple of trips to Phillip Island and thought we should pop in for a dinner one day. They have this fantastic way of serving meals called stonegrill. I ordered the rib eye and a moment later my rib eye comes out on a sizzling hot stone and it cooks in front of me, i usually dont like having to cook for myself at a restaurant but in this case i was able to have my delicious rib eye the way i wanted every single bite .... AWESOME! They had a good selection of wines to have with my meal too which was great. Service was friendly. All in all 4 stars.
