Not impressed. They gave the impression of offering cheap rental but then all the added extras made it feel like a very poor deal in the end. Our dissatisfaction started when we found out the their cars are NOT at the airport, and you have to call them to bring a shuttle bus to get you - add 15min to your jounrney. Then once you are there, you really have no choice anymore but to accept their outrageous terms and conditions. If you don't accept their premium insurance, expect to pay a $3500-$5000 excess. And then they don't provide any sort of map or GPS unless you pay their extra on top fee. If you get some sort of traffic fine, you have to pay them an admin fee of $110, as well as pay the fine. If you don't like it, you can walk back to the airport! We were stiffed!

I booked a car from EastCoast through another website that listed them as located at Sydney Airport. They are NOT located at the airport as I found out after walking around for 20mins with suitcases and a tired young child. Ok, maybe not entirely their fault. After I eventually caught a cab to the centre I was told the Insurance reduction I had booked through the website ment nothing and I was required to leave a $3000 bond in either cash or a credit card authorisation. My card has a $2500 limit so that was not an option. Funnily enough I did not have a spare $3000 on me to leave behind either. By this time I was starting to lose my s*#t and the girl behind the counter offered NO solutions. I told her I wanted a refund and forget the car, but she said she couldn't do it as I had paid through the refering site. I told her to call the other website and fix it and she said no. I told her Eastcoast obviously use the website for referrals and should attemp to fix problems in relation to it. Again, she just shrugged her shoulders. I called them and after being put on hold for 10mins the guy at the referring site immediatly refunded my insurance money so I could then take it out with East Coast, but didn't refund the money of the actual hire. He explained what I needed to do. The girl at EastCoast was NO help. So eventually I got the car and found out the baby seat I had booked and thought had paid for wasn't included at all because they didn't know if they would have one. So why offer it?? and what if I had turned up and they didn't have one?? By that time family had arrived and I said forget the car seat, just give me the car I had paid for. Long story short, they may be cheaper but its not worth the hassle. Pay a little bit more and go with a mainstream rental company located AT the airport. Won't be going back. They're disinterest and lack of accountability was infuriating!!

I booked 1 week in advance for a minibus, I called couple of days beforehand just to make sure everything is ok before I come.. still, on the day of pickup, the can wasn't ready and my plan was thrown into disarray, along with 11 primary school boys' days that day
