Exceptional Dental

I think Bernard has a perception problem. I have been attending this practise for over 3 years and find the service fantastic, the dentist/s very professional and his explanations as to what is happening and what is needed is easy to understand. The use of technology to assist this adds to the experience. As for a booking fee to cover a cancelled appointment - well they have kept the time available to you and if you don't show you have derived them of the opportunity to earn money - so they just want to avoid it happening again - understandable by me...

This business hasn't heard of the term “duty of care” they have no concept of professionalism whatsoever and their main concern is making more money. The clinic (or rather in this case I should say business) is tastefully decorated, the waiting room is nice and initially you'll probably make the mistake of thinking the “smiley” staff there is actually a friendly one... However Just like the saying goes "Not everything that shines is gold" I went there 3 times and I wish I hadn't even gone once. The doctor there can get the job done (not that I have any issues with my teeth; just general periodic cleaning and checkups was all I required) but they are way overpriced and their marketing/up-selling techniques are very aggressive, they will basically try to sell you anything in their office. BEWARE!!! They will charge you a “booking fee” of $50 when you make an appointment if you ever cancelled one in the past, they will lie to you explaining that it's a new policy but they will soon get inconsistent with their lies. When I was trying to explain that I cancelled my last appointment because I couldn't afford the (overpriced) charge at the time, she (the receptionist) rudely replied that a fee of $50 will incur if I cancel the appointment again or if I don't show up!(As if it was a hotel booking or a deposit on a car) Although we were talking on the phone, I'm sure the receptionist now was not that “smiley” anymore, if anything she was callous and unsympathetic towards me (Later it appeared that it was also how she has treated one of my colleagues too) As a patient, saying this was a horrible experience is almost complimentary and being in the medical industry and treating patients for so many years, I know how a clinic should treat its patients like. This place is nowhere near these standards. I've booked an appointment with another office (needless to say, no booking fees were required) and I will never made the mistake of going or recommending anyone to go to this place ever again.
