Flinders University, Sturt Rd, Bedford Park

Growing up in Adelaide was tough enough being raised by a single misunderstood parent. Flinders University has basically became my second family. Their compassionate and educated system assisted myself to develop into a well more enlightened and balanced person. Flinders University has taught and guided myself into interesting topics such as science, universal laws, meaning of life, psychology, philosophy, religion, venus project, zeitgeist, human resource, community services, marketing, technology, and how one person can make a difference for the greater good". I believe with a balance form of communication and observation strategies, Flinders and their students will go far and evolve into something unique.

I have to say the experience of studying in Flinders is really wonderful. Friendly staff, beautiful view, nice student, I have never regeted to come here.

Low-quality teaching staffs and not much support for student with difficulty in learning. It turns out that this Uni only wanna make money and don't care what gonna happen to their student after graduation at all, since the training for work enviroment is limited

I'm not surprised with the negative reviews here but I wish I had checked them before enrolling at Flinders. I am doing the BSc. Nursing and after just a year I have seen everything from the worst teachers who show up 50 minutes late and leave 30 early to teachers who don't show up at all to management who wouldn't give a toss about what you think about their establishment. The students' opinions mean nothing to them. Of course, the worst part is that I am learning NOTHING about nursing!! I consider myself to be a smart person who works hard but nothing in the curriculum teaches me anything about nursing. It's all about academics and pretending to be smart but no information on basic nursing care! A year at Flinders has been the worst year in my entire life.

I started with Bach of BioTech, then decided to study engineering instead so I went to Adelaide Uni for a year. I enjoyed the Flinders way more so I completed my Engineering degree here. I found it tough but worthwhile. Staff were far more supportive and there were interesting and challenging topics... and after working in industry for a couple of years I returned to Flinders for postgrad stuff. PS: My wife studied Nursing here too. It wasn't all smooth sailing, but overall she enjoyed it and is now working as an RN. (PPS: If you have any trouble, then make some noise and pass it on up the management chain!)
