Manly Marina Cove Motel

A very small mom-and-pop motel with an unusual location (within the grounds of the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron). Quite friendly and helpful owners/staff. My room overlooked the bay, and the view was gorgeous and quiet in the morning. I often sat on the balcony reading and sipping tea for an hour or so before starting the day. Continental breakfast was fine, though the available hot breakfast was a bit lacking (and difficult to order, as you had to order it by 6pm the night before if you wanted hot eggs in the morning). Reasonably good internet support, with strong wifi signal throughout the property. Lovely furnishings and decent bathroom. General look of the property is a secluded quaint hideaway. Location is only a brief 10-15 minute walk from central Manly with its wealth of restaurants and shops. The pool is quite tiny, more of a quick plunge pool than anything else. And the motel's location inside the gated RQYS was a bit problematic when directing taxis to get me back, as it was difficult for the taxi to understand how to badge into the gate, and then they needed to badge back out again after I'd already left the taxi. Overall, though, a quite pleasant 5-day stay, and I would definitely stay here again.

My parents stayed here for a week while we had our second child. I it seemed decent, but basic but overall very good.

Was a good spot, stayed here for a wedding, nice rooms... although walls were a bit thin. but location was great, little balcony was nice to sit and have a beer. i liked it.
