This is a horrible school dont send your children and are commonly raped

This school would have to rate as one of the worst in SA i took my child out from saint johns and sent him to mercedes for 3 years and he learnt next to nothing and every thing he learnt was completely irrelevant i over all despise this school and my son jackson is now behind every other student at his new school

After our initial Orientation Walk we were very impressed, this backed up the recommendations of others and friends. A second Orientation Walk with our daughter confirmed our decision and we have not looked back. Our daughter is thriving academically and socially in the environment that the College has created and nurtures. Mercedes has lived up to our high expectations and proven a worthy investment in a quality education for our daughter. We recommend anyone considering schooling for their child to take an Orientation Walk and witness first hand the students interacting and enjoying learning.

I experienced this school to the fullest, both the IB and the SACE curriculum, the teachers will do everything in their power to make the student succeed the best they possibly can. The only way that a student can leave the college with anything less than an above average education is if the student does come to school :)

Horrible school. Utterly expensive with no reason why. You pay crazy fees and get nothing for it. Nothing is included in the regular fees, and ALL extras are still required ontop of that. They make everything appear "mandatory", even DONATIONS! They offer little to no help of any kind in the form of education assistance. The teachers generally have bad attitudes, and hide behind the 'private' school system. Noone takes responsibility for anything, and when you have parent teacher meetings everyone smiles and nods, but ultimately noone does anything they promise. They have no patience with children and can't seem to grasp the concept that every child is different and noone learns the same. Their communication with parents is extremely poor, and all the staff seem to think they are 'always right'. If you're having problems with this school, pull your kids out while you still can, it wont get better. If you're thinking about going here, DONT. You'll get the same if not a better quality of education from a public school, and you'll have all the spare cash to spend on your child when he or she needs it. Mercedes sure as hell won't help you.
