Basic, but expensive double room $250 a night. But you expect that out here. Clean and comfortable. The bar was pumping but family rooms are a distance so we aren't disturbed

My husband and I checked out their evening "do it yourself" BBQ for dinner. We had a blast cooking up some beef and kangaroo, and there were even a few items on the hot buffet that I could eat even with my soy allergy. Very casual, fun atmosphere. The place has a bar, a stage with live performers and a few pool tables...

I spent three days at the Outback Pioneer Lodge. The dorm was big, clean and comfortable, even when it was full (20 people). Bathrooms and showers are outdoors, they were ok although it's better to have a shower early, because the cubicles tend to get flooded after many people use them. Another negative side is that the bar/kitchen closes very early (around 9pm). Overall, it was a positive experience and I would book there again, especially because the price is very convenient.

The bed is okay, the room is super small. Cleanliness ? Correct. The only problem is you'd paid 45 AUD for a very basic bed in a mixed 4-beds bunk dormitary. Accomodation in Ayers Rock are taking advantage of the non-existent competition there. I'm sure it does NOT cost twice as much as in.. say Alice springs.. to offer accommodation services. I know we're right in the desert BUT this beautiful rock attracts a lot of people and the Hostel was almost full booked... • Wifi ? 10AUD/hour.. bring your optus 3g dongle, it works fine. • Food ? 20 AUD for a 12'' basic pizza. Londge ? cool but close at 2AM. got kicked out although i had some works to do. The overall is good, but this is super pricy. I wish I had some bucks to invest to create competition overthere.

The accommodations were adequate. The grounds were pretty and well kept. Our room was a bit disappointing in that it contained two bunkbeds and very little space. As my son put it, it was more of a hostel than a hotel.......albeit a nice one. We had a bathroom and shower in our room. There were several options for meals which was nice and prox imity to the attractions Kata Tjuta and Uluru was great.
