This place is absolutely insane. The staff here are so so so lovely, and the food is actually pretty incredible. Of course, you have to have lots and lots of the pastizzi's, but they're food off the menu is also so wonderful. We had a huge selection, and they were more than happy to work around dietary requirements. When it came to pay the bill as well we were amazed with how cheap it all was. Such a great place.

Great place for an easy, casual lunch in Newtown! I love the selection of sweet and savoury pastizzi they offer. Grab a few on the go, or get a table outside for some people watching in one of the most eclectic Sydney areas! They also sell frozen pastizzi to take home, which are just the perfect finger food for parties and events. Love this place and always go back when I'm in the area. Very affordable too.

I love this tiny little cafe on the end of King St, its a good one who are raelly looking to have a blast with the cheese and pizzass... Its in the epicenter of subculture but that's what I adore about the Pastizzi Pasta Cafe. I adore the pea pastizzi, creamy mushy peas enveloped by flaky cripsy fillo. The smooth ricotta pastizzis are very delicious. Creamy sweetened ricotta with plump cherry in the filling. Yum!!

I love this bustling little cafe on the quieter end of King St. Its in the epicenter of subculture but that's what I adore about the Pastizzi Pasta Cafe. In amongst the punks, goths and hipsters the odd older Maltese gentleman enjoying the delicious buttery fillo pastry pastizzis warms me up. I've never actually sat down to a big bowl of their famous handmade ravioli, the pastizzis are way to enticing. Sweet and savory there is so much variety and something to excite the taste buds everyone. I adore the pea pastizzi, creamy mushy peas enveloped by flaky cripsy fillo. The smooth ricotta pastizzis are also delicious. I always finish off with a cheese and cherry pastizzi. Creamy sweetened ricotta with plump cherry in the filling. Yum!!

It's one of those place that's well-loved and well-patronised; historically, for good reason. It's bang on King Street, at Newtown. Opposite New Theatre. It's cosy and unpretentious. As the name implies, it purveys all manner of filled, crisp, indulgent pastries. And it has long done a pretty decent line in comfort food. I'm talking generous serves of pasta and what was once about the best bowl of steaming hot, spicy, substantial, thick lentil soup one could hope for. And, at a reasonable price, served swiftly by warm, welcoming and friendly wait staff. Life is full of disappointments. While many of the positives still pertain, we waited quite a long time for our two bowls of soup to be plated and, when they came, while still surprisingly flavourful, they were, at the same time, a watery letdown. They were even thin on lentils! But the really unpleasant surprise came when it was time to pay. Seventeen dollars per bowl. No wonder prices have been omitted from the blackboard. Not happy, Pastizzis! (Though I will admit the nine-dollar Greek salad was a pretty good deal.) Please explain.
