Over all it was a good experience, made some friends during this course. The teachers are great, they are friendly and fun and very helpful if you have any problems. I enjoyed the cocktail making the most, very fun and easily accomplished with practice. I would recommend this course to anyone who wishes to work in any part of the hospitality industry.

Hi, I'm Emily and this is my review of RSA Melbourne, at 28 Elizabeth Street. RSA Melbourne is a fantastic learning environment for any and all people, providing safe and open learning spaces along with friendly and well trained staff. Straight off the bat, as you turn up to their floor of 28 Elizabeth Street, you are welcomed by the friendly receptionists, who go through the course that you want to do with you. They also explain all the stages that there are to be done in your course as well as help you fill out the enrolment forms. First day of class was nerve-racking at first. It was a new environment with new people and it was easy to tell that most of us were a little nervous. The teacher arrived to class and immediately started off with a friendly hello and a polite conversation with us all. This helped to completely dissolve all tension and anxiety in the room. As the week continued we had two other teachers step in for a day or two and they were just as friendly, helpful and as well trained as the previous teacher. By the end of the week, we had learnt so much and felt confident in our skills and knowledge. The teaching methods can vary depending on the teacher; although they always get you up to do the practical, hands on work yourself. Whether we were pouring and mixing drinks behind the bar, making coffees and steaming milk or even waiting and serving food to customers, our teachers were there to give us guidance but always gave us the opportunity to try it on our own first. Not only did our teachers present themselves as role models for us students, but they also presented themselves as equals, having friendly conversations with students during lunch and after class in the hallways or just outside the building. This created a very warm, friendly atmosphere in which all the students thrived. I enjoyed every minute at RSA Melbourne and recommend it to everyone who's looking for hospitality training.

I have recently completed the two-week Hospitality Course with the Victorian Bar School. Through this course, I have gained both practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge in areas such as bartending, cocktail making, barista coffee, waiting and food safety. I also received my Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate. All of our trainers were very friendly and exceptionally helpful and encouraging. The experience has been invaluable and has provided me with the skills I need for a job in the hospitality industry. I would definitely recommend doing this course!

The two weeks spent as a student at the Victorian Bar School has been an enjoyable and rewarding experience. The facilities and training environment is impressive, providing us with the ability to practice all of the relevant skills in realistic practical exercises. Class lectures are always clear, concise and based on current industry requirements. This experience is enhanced with the selection of the lecturers which bring their own unique personalities to play making us all feel comfortable in an inclusive learning environment regardless of individual characteristics... Anyway, I do recommend this course for anyone seeking work in the hospitality industry... Have fun!
