Prof (Dr) Siri Kannangara who practices at the Ryde Medical Centre is an exceptional man - not just for his obviously renowned medical ability, but also for his generosity of spirit and kindness towards his fellow human beings. He epitomizes the virtues of the medical profession. As a Sri lankan immigrant to Australia I am particularly proud of him. Prof Kannangara still preserves his Sri lankan roots and goes out of his way to extend a helping hand to fellow Sri Lankans irrespective of caste or creed. And Australia and Australians too, stand richer because of him. Many a sporting personality owe him a debt of gratitude among countless others.
