Sundowner Tiona Tourist Park

This place is a time machine. Everything is dated in the 1950's and the only part that's been upgraded is the price! During my two week stay the amenities were only cleaned once. Totally filthy. When I complained the staff said my money was not refundable. We'll see what consumer affairs say. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THEIR FLASHY PHOTOSHOPPED WEB SITE!!

One from the front desk agent offert me to have an beachside ensuit cabin on the dates we ask for available. So i confirmed a booking with email. When we arrived at sunday 10.10.2010 the front desk agent. A different one told me in an arrogant kind, they have no reservation and no cleaned cabin and they don`t have a website!! After my complain she phoned a manager and offert us an old cabin without cooking equipment. We are from Germany to visit our Family in AU, but we never have had such bad and unfriendly service. I publish it to all my friends and family

5th Jan 2010 to 10th Jan 2010 was truly the worst holiday break that our family has ever experienced. The Tiona-Sundowners' Accomodation did not deliver on it's promise so do not let the website photo's fool you. The lovely smell of Septic in the tranquil outdoor bathroom was a real treat with dead insects, spiders and webs taking "eco" to a new level. Room and facility cleanliness not high on the agenda here. For $355 a night, dissappointment is an under statement. A real shame considering the beautiful beaches and lakes around the area!!! If we could give a negative rating, that is what it would get. Take your money some where else.
