Thrifty, 532 Gardeners Road, Alexandria

I will never utilise the services of this company or any other Thrifty franchise. My deposit was eroded by hidden fees and extra charges. My calls were ignored and the staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. I have never been so offended as I have been in my dealings with Thrifty Alexandria. A warning to all who are considering using this company in the future.

I used Thrifty in Sydney - Alexandra few weeks ago, When I returned the van I was never told that I need to pay for tolls as I expected those will be just debited from my card accordingly. However, 1 month later, I received two tolls of $5 each plus admin fee of $10 each, i.e. the tolls that costed total $10, they cost me now $30! If Thrifty told me I need to pay those myself, I was going to do that straight away and avoid admin fees. Anyhow, that is not all. My credit card was debited for $35 and $15 on same day by Thrifty!. I asked them why did they charge me and they said that this is charge for 'FORWARDING ME THE TOLL COSTS'!! How arrogant is that? Now, tolls that cost only $10, I am paying $80!!!! I would highly recommend to go to any other rental company but Thrifty. Such a poor customer service, not responding to emails, not calling back on phone - just disgusting!!

Service here is terrible. The guy answered the phone and took a quote mid-way through our booking. We also waited in queue whilst we could see two staffers having a conversation in the office.
