Wimmera Lakes Caravan Resort

I stayed in the standard cabin and the resort was the most relaxing and fun place for the kids. Really enjoyed the jumping pillow and other outdoor facilities. The cabins were really clean, although the air-con needs some work. Overall i give it a 9/10 :)

We stayed in a "superior" cabin which boasted air conditioning but turned out to be extremely poor evaporated cooling!!! It was 36 degrees every day (we stayed 3 nights). The cabin was so hot and stuffy. Ran the 'air conditioner' all night and all day and still no relief from the heat. Very disappointed in the 'air conditioning'! We had no instructions for the 'Austar' TV that was supposed to be there so didn't use that. All in all though the cabin was clean and big enough. The park is well appointed and our kids loved the jumping pillow. Park was very clean and the pool was very well maintained.

Large pitches give you plenty of space :) Unfortunately the locusts were there at the same time as us (end Dec 2010), which got everywhere. There were lots in the toilets (plus alot of flies in general) which wasn't too pleasant. But it was lovely and clean. The grassed pitches had suffered with the dry weather, so some were quite hard and alot of sand - but still had no issues pitching our tent :) It was very windy one night (gusts up to 75km/h) which wasnt ideal - but the tent survived and so did we :D
