Hi, To those considering using Abode Fencing I am writing this review for you so that you do not experience the same as I. I nominated Abode fencing after little research on the Internet as they were conveniently close and seemed like a premium business to deal with. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED, hence wasting my own time to advise people not to deal with this company. Speaking with a previous employee receptionist by the name of Teena was quite satisfying as we settled on a time for an appt with company heavyweight Trevor to quote my job. Trevor quoted a 19m raked 6ft colorbond fence with treated pine slates underneath for $1700. Even though i thought this was a little high I went with his service as I wanted a good job done. After handing over payment details and paying a deposit I was advised the fence would arrive within a fortnight and would be erected the very next day. 4 weeks later I thought I should follow up and see what was taking so long. After speaking to a new receptionist named Sally I was advised she would call me back. A week later I rang again and Sally advised me that they turned up with the fence yesterday but I had to move the boat and lock up the dogs. No communication was given prior to this conversation. She also said that I needed to demolish the old fence first. Even though on my quote they were erecting the fence against the old one (long story). I then advised her to check her paperwork and that I would have dogs secured etc for the following week as they were busy for the rest. Monday arrives fence turns up at 7am, good. Driver says workers will arrive soon. At lunch time a red P plate commodore arrives at front and advises he will be here the next day. More stuffing round. I took the next morning off so that I didn't have to leave the dogs on the chain all day. P plater arrives again the next day and parks on neighbours front lawn. He runs a string line for only half the fence, luckily I was still home and advised him of his mistake. He then digs holes for posts and leaves. I was at work. Next day same thing p plater turns up asks me for a power outlet so he can charge his drill. Had to work so left him with the powerbox outlet. Arrived home posts were in. Thursday no work done. Friday no work done, no communication. Dogs have now been chained up each day for at least 8 hrs. I could rattle on more but I was then very unhappy by this stage and tried to speak with Trevor over the phone but the receptionist Sally was VERY rude and wouldn't put me through, when she finally put me through Trevor said they were too busy to make a phone call to me. The fence was erected on the following Monday and its missing 7 text screws for the rails and the sheets were installed the wrong way. The fence isn't even STRAIGHT and the posts don't line up with the rails. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE I would use these guys for a quote only then take it to an opposing company to beat quote and erect
