Alpha Car Hire Brisbane

Service here was fine when it came to the hire, not so fine when it came to tolling for the tunnels. I used my own e-tag and was told this should be fine. Not only was it not fine, Alpha Car Hire (head office, not Moorooka office) slapped a massive administration fee over the tunnel toll, AND posted out the additional invoice from Clem7 more than a month after the date it was due, meaning I incurred further late charges from Clem7 and in total paid around $80 for 2 tunnel trips ($21 for Clem7 fees, plus the huge 'admin' fee from Alpha- not sure how this is justified given that Alpha's 'admin' didn't even post out an invoice until a month after it came due).

I was very very impressed. I called at 9am to book a car and within 90 minutes was driving my rental away having recieved a great price and been picked up from my home and delivered to the rental center in the city. All the staff I dealt with were excellent but Bobby in particular was a real customer service star.

I booked a truck through Alpha Car Hire on 08/06 for the Saturday 12/06 to move house as confirmed by Bridget, an employee of Alpha Car Hire via telephone (she was very helpful and assured me the truck would be ready). By 930am everything was packed up and waiting in the front yard at which point I went to the location in Moorooka to collect the truck at which point the gentleman at the counter advised me he had tried to contact me on 09/06 and had left a message. I advised I had received no missed call on that date (a quick check through my mobile confirmed this) and asked what they were calling me for. The gentleman informed me "there is no truck". I asked him to elaborate however he did not. No advice as to why the booking no longer existed or what he could do for me. The following hour was spent driving/calling around various car hire companies with no luck. Finally called in a favour from a friend who kindly helped me with the use of their ute - took four trips as opposed to one despite having a confirmed booking with this company. I would advise against using a company so unprofessionally run and with such bad customer service, i can understand when events occur beyond the company's control but to be offered no explanation and no apology convinced me to stick with hire car companies that are more well known.

Hi, Just like to thank the team at Alpha Car Hire in Brisbane, they made so easy to hire and use the car,also with GPS on board it was joy to travel around Queensland been guided by TomTom. We can recommend this little bit of kit saved miles on some of our trips and outings.
