Apartments on Lygon

Pretty tired decor and fixtures and not well maintained. Definitely nothing like the photos. The advertising said newly refurbished... our apartment definitely wasn't. Couldn't get air conditioner to work properly despite calling reception and asking for help. Location was convenient for us, but noisy. Despite the fact it was Melbourne Cup week when we stayed, it was not worth the price we paid.

I had made reservations at Apartments on Lygon then used Google Maps for directions. I then saw some poor reviews and was concerned. But my concern was unnecessary. The location is a convenient tram ride to the city and not far from good restaurants and cafes. Staff were good, the place was very clean and I had a good week while staying here. I cannot understand the negative comments of other guests. I would certainly stay there again.

This Hotel is extremely dirty. Dirty Linen , Hair in the bed , Dirty Bathrooms, We had booked our staff to stay at this hotel. They checked out the same night as they would not sleep in such dirty rooms. Terrible how a business can still be in business ??? We were told they would not refund the room cost as the bed was turned down. Well Yes after a pubic hair was found in it - I would not expect my staff to re make the bed. I have 8 photos of this room ! Horrid

Die Lage direkt (10m entfernt) an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße, die Straßenbahn direkt vor der Haustür, dreckig und muffig, gelblicher und dreckiger Toilettensitz, Balkon der keiner war, Terrasse ungefegt und dreckig. Gesamteindruck: Auf keinen Fall wieder und würde ich nicht einmal meinem Feind empfehlen. Und vor allem der in keiner Hinsicht zu rechtfertigende Preis = rip-off. The Location directly (10 mtr) at the main road, the tram directly in front, dirty and mouldy, yellow and dirty toilet seat, balcony which wasn't one (tiny), uncleaned and dirty terrace. Overall rating: Never again and even not to be recommended to my enemies. Absolutely unacceptable price: AUD200 p.n.

The cereal and bread for the supplied breakfast was stale, one apartment had mouldy carpet, both apartments smelled musty and were dirty, and the second apartment was only supplied with one facewasher, despite having two people booked into it. Won't bother again!
