Expensive for a restaurant with no table service, veges cold, portions small, sand (or something crunchy) in our prawns... Should have stayed at home and had tacos with our friends.

Worst dining experience of our lives. Rude manager, average atmosphere, got our order wrong. We chose the restaurant based on their web site, which gave the impression of a fine-dining experience. However, the actual environment is a run-of-the-mill fish and chips, with bench seating, albeit at ridiculously expensive pricing. When paying $100+ for a meal for two I would personally expect table service. Instead they have counter ordering and they use beepers that tell you when to go and collect your meal. Anyway, faced with this we decided to get get an entrée (since we really wanted some oysters kilpatrick) and eat mains elsewhere. We ordered a dozen oysters kilpatrick. After eating 4, we realised we had only received 10 oysters shells, each only containing half an oyster. My guess is that they cut them in half so that they could put half in each side of the shell... So we had really only received 5 oysters (having effectively eaten 2), and been charged $36 for a "dozen". Anyway, rather than ask for the extra oysters, we thought it easier to just ask for our money back. The girl at the counter went to get the manager. The manager, Aristos, came out and was quite aggressive. I explained the situation and requested our money back. At first he simply refused. After repeating what the problem was, he simply told us it was impossible to cut oysters in half, and rudely told us that we "should know how to order", in a raised voice. We pointed out that we ordered a dozen and their were clearly 10 on the plate. He did admit "someone must have made a mistake", but continued to be defensive and aggressive. He eventually agreed to refund us for the oysters we hadn't eaten. I have never requested my money back at a restaurant in the past, but given that they got our order wrong, I would at least expect polite customer service. Instead we were treated with no respect. I recommend you avoid this restaurant.
