Balti Indian Restaurant

After waiting to get a table almost 30 minutes in another restaurant, we've entered naturally famished in Balti. They've welcomed us warmly even without booking table in advance. I've noticed that the quality of food and service increased a lot since our last visitation. We've definitely saved our evening back then.

Great curries, Good ambiance, rich blend of taste, cooked to perfection and highly recommend fish curry etc. Best in town but service needs to be improved.

Stopped for a quick meal and was greeted by a young indian girl with perfect english(not normally the case in most indian restaurants)seated instantly and offered still or sparkling water. I ordered a lamb starter, the meat was fresh and outstanding. The next came my mains and a delight it was...Fish curry with rice and naans.The curry was perfectly cooked and was a treat having staff check whether my food was good and whether i needed anything else but what more could i want? Friendly and highly attentive staff, fresh and vibrant food is what reminds me of balti in perth!!

I have to advise that in the 4 months since miracle girl posted in sept 09, nothing much has changed. I advised the staff that my wifes' butter chicken was burnt - "that's the way it is!" It wasn't smoked, it was thoroughly burnt - they couldn't give a toss. I ordered a $50 bottle of shiraz - it was tart and didn't get any better with time. For half hour after I advised the manager of this I was totally ignored. No replacement, no refund, no sympathy, no idea. This place would have to rank in the bottom 5 in customer service that I have ever encountered. Stay clear and save yourself $200.
