Basil Pizza and Pasta

My first experience at Basil wasn't entirely positive. We were first in the door when they opened in the evening and it took them what seemed like a very long time to even take our order. Then to receive the pizzas was another 20-25mins on that. The service and speed improved when I attended several months later. The pizzas are nice. We specifically attend for the vegan options. I like the Animal Lovers in particular. They are a bit pricey for what you get though. Will keep going back, just not as often as I would like/

Great local pizzeria, big range of delicious pizzas, service is very good and staff very friendly, they provide some drinks as well mostly organic but byo is also available, very suitable for couples specially that the place is not that big. i like that they prepare the food in front of you just makes it more interesting.

I have been here many times over the last year, on the recommendation of my former housemates. Basil delivers consistently delicious pizzas, and also have a dine-in section. Patrons can watch the pizzas being made by the chef (perhaps he is called Basil), and the food is always great!

Excellent service, the largest orders completed within 15 minutes. THe food in all honesty was nothing special. However, the notable use of soy cheese as a vegan option gives animal lovers a much desired option. Their pizzas are an average price but personally i find this too high for takeaway.

We ordered a pizza on July 12 through Menulog. We usually love Basil (the potato pizza is lovely). However our experience has now soured. 1. Our order was estimated at 70 minutes, but it took 110 minutes. 2. The driver forgot the coke we paid for. Understand totally that this happens. The driver kindly said he would bring it back next order. We got a call about 9.30 from the young women on staff at the store saying would we mind having a free coke next time we ordered. I said yes because I was too tired to argue and didn't want to make her upset (wow i was nice!) The problem here is that we are not sure if there will be a next time, and... since we paid for it the coke is not actually 'free' but in fact late, paid for and tied to us making another order and spending more money! 3. The GF pizza bases were overcooked, VERY hard and chewy. We know these bases - we use them ourselves. 4. I emailed to complain. Three times over the last 12 days. No answer. Left a VM on their phone - no reply. Menulog came through with a discount voucher though - appreciated. As for Basil - well I think the reviews online paint a similar story to ours.
