Bells Removals

After a quote of $1800 which I wisely declined to sign up for I payed by the hour and only paid $1155. I did see into getting my usual removalist for the job who would of only charged $800-$900 for the job but they where unable to help at the time. Also being on a Pension couldn't afford insurance so just couldn't get. It's was the same for the other times I have used my other removalist. The damage done to my property is as follows. Completely ripped out the leg and shattered the wood on Antique Cabinet. Many deep dents on a sideboard. Bent the tow bar on ride-on. Several deep scratches across a laundry cupboard taking the paint off. Chipped bookcases. Cut the fabric underneath a couch without permission and dinged and banged other things also. My other removalist without insurance have never damaged my property. Bell's have no such due care of your things and the guy doing the moving when question about the leg on the Antique table denied knowing anything ....of course!!!!! With three inch screws being ripped right out and the wood and all splinted wood above it they heard and know nothing. Disingenuous plus. When I asked at office when paying after trying to be charged for 8hrs instead of 7hr.she said well you don't have insurance. I said so you just do as you want with peoples property if they haven't. She back peddled then and gave me paper and pen to write down the damage but that was a month ago and I've heard nothing from them. My advice is if you can go else where do or if you don't have much chose then with these guys you must have insurance as they have no due care for your property.
