Benny's Bar & Cafe

Went on Sunday for lunch. Had great service, they were quick and attentive. Which just makes it all the more shameful about the food. My wife had the seafood platter where they turned perfectly decent scallops into jerky, squid was excessively chewy and the battered fish was a soggy mess. Prawns and mussels were good but could not make up for the rest of the dish. I had Benny's Burger which worked, the flavours were good but they served it on a stale bun; inexcusable and especially so when paying $19 a pop. If we're to be honest to Benny's i must mention we didn't give them an opportunity to make up for it by lodging a complaint at the time, but these issues are so basic they shouldn't be committed by a restaurant of their standing.

Must try: risotto of the day and Benny's burger.

VERY REASONABLE PRICES - great food, excellent service, couldnt really ask for me. We were so impressed with the menu options we have vowed to keep coming back til we have tried almost everything on the menu.
