Excllent cuisine. No views. Attentive service. I would recommend the chicken.

Do the dessert degaustation. the only place to have this in sydney and i must say it was well worth it. i didn't get a chance to try the a la cart but i did see it come out from the kitchen and the expression on people's face when they taste the food.

Great everything but deserts and cocktails stand out

A stalward and patron of pushing the boundaries of Modern Australian, Bentley Restaurant & Bar, is sadly closing in August. Do try and go before then if you can. Food: as you'd expect from a hatted restaurant, the food is definitely something special. It's not perfect, but there were many more hits than misses, and those hits were fantastic. I opted for the $120pp degustation. Of note was the tangy spanner crab, the richness of the seared scallops, the best octopus you're likely to have, a semi-decent vegetarian dish, some rather blandish quail, and one of the best angus fillets I've ever had. Desserts were average, but expertly crafted and presentation overall was impeccable. Worth $120? For you to decide. Décor: pretty much like a fancy bar - overall dark ambience, wooden furniture, etc. Service: almost on the mark for a 2-hatted restaurant. One of our waiters laid down a dish without explaining it while the others did - kind of incongruent. Overall very good.

I love this place for delicious cocktails at the bar and maybe a cheeky dessert, but as far as the dinner goes - it's a bit pricey for what it is. Don't get me wrong, the food is fine, but there are some better degustations out there for the same or better value.
