Best Western Barkly Motor Lodge

Very friendly, very clean, comfortable and quiet, A great place to relax; especially in one of their huge old baths with some radox... Oh yeah! Only 1 critism, they didn't have those little bottles of spirits in the mini bar, but a very enjoyable stay.

The worst night's sleep I've had in years. We booked online that afternoon but when we arrived reception didn't know anything about it - the fax from their central booking system was still sitting on the machine! We got away with it though as no-one else had turned up in the meantime even though this was the last room available. Room cleanliness was OK, even though there was a baseball cap left in the room from I guess the previous occupant. The big downer is how paper-thin the walls are between the rooms. Normal conversations in the next room could be heard crystal-clear as, unfortunately, could the snoring. That, coupled with the local hillbillies ragging their cars up and down the road outside the (single-glazed) window most of the night, meant it was near impossible to get to sleep. Will not be staying here again.
