Betal leaf starters were amazing (trout or prawn). Singapore chilli prawns were very tasty and portion size was generous. Definitely going back :-)

Sitting outside on Darling St whilst dining at Blue Ginger is quintessential Sydney. Wonderfully flavorsome food, friendly staff, good company and all washed down with a delicious (byo) riesling, what more could one ask for. I love this place. The pork belly salad is so good it should be illegal. Blue Ginger is consistantly a delightful experience.

Have been coming here for many years. Food is great, but you have to tolerate an extremely noisy dining room, which does remove some of the enjoyment. Saturday night we had to query the bill. The menu had stated corkage was $4 per person, but we were charged $4.50. The manager came over and pointed to the wine menu which said corkage was $4.50, and we pointed the food menu which said $4, and asked why would we have cause to look at the wine menu if we were doing BYO? After a bit of an exchange back and forth he said.."oh alright then, we'll take the $2 off (50c for each of the 4 of us). It was totally ungracious and really bad attitude. Coming from the manager, who is supposed to set the tone for the service delivery and the whole front of house, it was inexcusable. It will be a long time before we return to Blue Ginger, but when we do, I hope the price on the bill matches the price on the menu. Not an unreasonable expectation, hey?
