I really wanted to like it here, but the food was way way overpriced (20 bucks for a philly cheese steak) and bad (stale dry rolls, lukewarm and bland fillings). The service was super friendly though, and the atmosphere was pretty nice, but quality and value for money just isn't competitive with other places that have popped up and are trying hard to pull in customers.

Thanksgiving not so good this year :( We went last year and it was beautiful with great service. This year no stuffing?? Who has Thanksgiving with no stuffing? Very strange. Turkey and ham good, but other meat was unedible with too much fat on it. Gravy was too runny and not right. Normally a brown gravy is served. Service was horrible. No sugar for tea and no serving spoons for shared food. Had to keep tripping the staff up to ask for something missing from table. The dessert was a huge disappointment. For some reason this year dessert was Australianized, and for 4 adults we were expected to share a sliver of pumpkin pie between us?? Way too weird. Blue Plate wake up. Americans never share 1 sliver of pumpkin pie between 4 adults. When I complained I was told if we want more we have to pay an extra $10. You need to go back to last year's Thanksgiving, where you gave each person their own pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Thanksgiving was never meant to share small dessert portions on 1 plate between 4 adults. I hope you change Blue Plate and go back to last year's menu, otherwise sadly we will have to look for another place to eat. You need to retrain your staff too, as they looked and acted like they didn't want to be there last night, and that's not a good feeling on Thanksgiving Day.....

Being American, I've been on the lookout for some authentic American food to remind me of home. This restaurant has it all. The staff were polite, quick to serve and interested in me personally. The food is impeccable and the portions generous. I ordered a full rack of ribs and received the largest amount of fall-off-the-bone ribs smothered in BBQ sauce I've ever seen (here and in the US). The clam chowder was superb with whole clams contributing to the well-roundedness of the dish. This soup was most definitely not out of a can and it was delicious. However, nothing compared to the dessert. The pumpkin pie reminded me so much of home that I felt sentimental. My husband had an A&W root beer float which definitely brought back the memories. The owner and head chef help prepare the dishes and came by the table to say hello. I will definitely be returning over and over again.

Some great ribs and assorted American south foods. Is a little pricey but it's worth it. Not a whole lot of character, South oozed ambiance. Once again the ribs are some of the best getting around and must be experienced. Service is great, never waiting but never pestered. Solid bar too. Did I mention the ribs were the best?
