Hidden in Burnett lane Brew provides necessary escapism for office folk seeking a moment of escapism and a hardy/strong 'Brew'. Unlike some other laneway establishments, Brew has quality furnishings, a clean and trendy interior that is free of strange smells. For Brisbane people this is very cool and novel but for those that frequent Melbourne the novelty may be lost.

A friend recommended this little hidden surprise for breakfast and I'm glad she did. Simple but delicious food and good service. I will be back again.

Looking for a late breakfast that turned into a real brunch. The staff were friendly the decor fitting, this trendy hide away quickly filled with locals and the good did not disappoint. Coffee was good.... Glad to be able to order a double ristretto and actually get that tiny shot of golden goodness as expected. Not the fastest service but this didn't phase us as time was on our side. Not expensive by Sydney standards but not certain if it or is by local benchmarks. We will return if not later in our trip, next time we are in Brisbane.

Terrible service. Myself and two others waited 30 minutes for 3 tiny tapas meals. After 30 minutes we checked on our meal and it hadn't been posted. Finally a tiny salad with tomato, buffalo cheese and basil came out. It was pathetic, anyone could have made it. It was the large 3 coloured salad. $12. Then after another 10 minutes a second meal came out which was almost thrown on the table, and it was a glorified small and flat toasted sandwich. $8. Finally my meal came out, Spanish meatballs. The meatballs didn't taste bad, but the tomato sauce it was in tasted like old el paso right out of a can. Disgusting. $14. The layout and atmosphere has potential, but for some reason it's extremely loud in there from everyone talking, you can barely hear people sitting next to you. Very disappointing overall and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
