Bridal Affair, 392 Oxford Street, Mount Hawthorn

Found the most AMAZING bridesmaid dresses at A Bridal Affair it all started out great and very exciting. The dresses then were ordered at least a year before the weeding and all the girls went in to be measured and the measurements were sent to get made. A deposit was made at the beginning before the dresses were ordered and then during the process of them being made A Bridal Affair kept demanding on a full payment - which was finally made and then no contact from them for a few months. Received a call advising the dresses arrived beginning of December 2012 and asked me to get the girls to call and make appointments to get a fitting done. So I did that, the first bridesmaid went in and they told her that the wedding isn't until April why have you come in January for a fitting - my girl told them that what was advised. Any way she tried the dress on and it was too big - I told the other girls not to go in as I received a call from Sandra advising they don't have to come in until a month before the wedding. We then go in a month before the wedding the girls try on their dresses out of the 5 bridesmaid dresses ordered x4 were at least x5 times too big and x1 was too small. When I asked how could this happen they basically gave us all the run around and really didn't care at all - none of us have EVER been treated the way they treated us!! Long story short what were $490 dresses each which my husband I paid for now costed the girls between $200-$390 each to have altered and then the dress that was too small was a size 8 tag which my girl is a size 8 but they told her that she must have put weight on (this girl has not changed size in 20 years) and that no the dress is right we were wrong and then they told her she had put on another dress size!! In shock we couldn't believe what was happening so left - all the dresses had to be altered. ALL THE ALTERATION places COULD NOT believe how beautiful the dresses were but how shockingly they were made. The front of the dresses were the right length the backs were too long, the breast cups - don't get me started you could literally fit watermelons in there. When I confronted Sandra and said I am not happy and want a refund or for them to do the alterations I was advised no then they changed their mind and then the size 8 dress we worked out with other professionals in the industry that is was actually a size 6 dress but with a size 8 tag on it. When I asked them to order another it wouldn't arrive in time and they couldn't do the alterations - then I get an EMAIL NOT A CALL an email from Sandra advising that they have a size 12 in store (why she couldn't tell us this when we were in there the day before - I have no idea) and that we could have it. I basically told her in an email to F*** off !!! BAD SERVICE, shocking dress making, they will take your money and then they don't care about you and they will cost you MORE money in the end than the stupid dresses are worth. DO NOT RECOMMEND USING

Also the variety in dresses is quite large compared to many of the other bridal shops we went to. Including the variety in colors. That is so hard to find. White is just not for everyone.
