Bubs n Grubs Baby Store

So I thought I would share my experience with other people who are thinking of buying their baby items through this store. My wife and I went in and selected everything that we wanted for our new addition to the family. We got our receipt, paid our deposit and explained that we needed to pick everything up on a set date. 12 days prior to collection, payment was made in full to Bubs N Grubs and I once again confirmed that we needed to collect things on a set date. We were told that everything was in stock except for our pram which the supplier had sent and it should be in by the end of the week. 12 days later, after taking time off work and hiring a ute to collect the furniture I arrive only to find out that the pram was still not in stock nor had the supplier even sent the pram yet. However I was quickly told that the supplier has arranged with the store a present being a teddy bear or a parasol - some shade thing for the pram for the issue. However, the store took no responsibility with regards to this issue and when asked what they could do as compensation after spending $3000+ at their store I asked if they could include a lamb heartbeat sensor stuffed animal worth $70, I got told no and that there is nothing that they can do at a store level was the response given and that I would need to contact the help desk. I find that not even a phone call or the fact that they could not do any form of compensation a bit underwhelming. I feel that people should strongly consider the idea of ensuring that all of their order is in stock and ready for collection before making the full payment on your order so that you are not left waiting and wondering when parts of your order will arrive. I feel that this level of service and not being able to given any form of compensation left my experience with a bad taste in my mouth. Once I have the balance of my order, I won't be looking to make my additional purchases from Bubs N Grubs. I feel that people need to know how other peoples experiences were given that a new addition to the family is extremely stressful. Update of experience - 19.10.13. So I was informed that the pram was coming into the country which is the reason for the delay. Funny that when this pram finally came into stock from Victoria, which to the last time I checked my geographical locations being in Australia, Victoria is in Australia so it was only interstate so it was coming into the country, another mis-truth, I was advised that because I had left this company a negative review that the staff member had ben advised by the business owners that the were not to deliver it to me so I had to take time from work to collect the item. At the time of collecting the pram, I was pretty much ignored by the staff. This experience has been an absolute joke and I feel that people should seriously consider making such important life purchases from a company that chooses to conduct business in such a manner. Perhaps if you would like to make comments on other review sites such as your comment about staff making offers that they then get told not to honour, you should reframe from posting them onto a review site where you know that people have the opportunity to expose the fact that you don't keep to your word.

Great service.. brilliant people... looked at other web reviews and was hesitant.. however phoned and went into store and they were nothing less than positive and most helpful! Will be buying from them again as they really know their stuff!

Friendly staff , nice products and good prices, however I advise you to shop around, I thought this store was the cheapest but after purchasing my chicco cortina travel system for $595.00,when I got home I saw the same item for $475.00 from Pram Wharehouse. I thought that I was getting a good deal but I could have saved myself $120.00. So Bubs n Grubs are not the cheapest as stated on the web page. Still a nice pram and I am happy with it but really cheesed off about the price difference. When I rang to enquire I was advised that if I had told them about the price difference before I had purchased the pram they would have matched it. If I had known the Pram Warehouse was cheaper I would have gone there. So as I said do your homework before you buy and save youself some money.

We got all of our baby stuff from Bubs n Grubs and are very happy. They helped us pick out the right products and the service was great. We saved a lot of money over those other stores who were not helpful and expensive. We recommend everyone try out Bubs n Grubs.

I was really unhappy with the customer service provided here. I'm totally surprised by all the positive reviews on this site. My experience couldn't be further from theirs! This place was featured on ACA in July last year regarding the customer service and the way they deal with customer complaints. Please make your own mind up but I recommend checking out the ACA video (named "Bad service behind retail struggle") as well as the comments on productreview before deciding to buy from this store. I wish I had of read the reviews and comments at productreview before shopping at bubs n grubs!
