Cafe Charlie

The Cafe Charlie has pale tiles with tan insets, tan walls, and chairs with natural wooden backs. Two display cabinets offer an inviting array of cakes and deserts, and behind the counter a black board itemises all the food and drinks available, which is very extensive. Alfresco is outside on the footpath where the same quaint chairs are black and white, and on the cool side of the street, so important on a warm day. This cafe is unique, in that all the food is prepared on the premises from fresh produce, daily by the owners. From an all day breakfast to hot lunches, sandwiches, salads, wraps, mouth watering cakes and deserts, coffee's and teas, cold drinks, and a large choice of burgers (including barramundi) Special celebration cakes and other catering needs are also available. We chose for brunch, chicken caesar on toasted Turkish bread, and scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and hash browns. Both orders were prompt, of a generous proportion, very well prepared and presented, and very reasonable priced. We finished with a tasting platter of their delicious freshly made desserts, with a LavAzza latte coffee. We dined out on the covered footpath alfresco area, enjoying the food and the passing parade. Their logo reads, "Where Fresh Food Meets Your Imagination", so true.
