Not only is the coffee amazing! Fresh from NZ, the food and service puts this restaurant at the top of my list. The great range of beautiful Italian food makes me feel like I'm back in Italy and it has the wine to go with it. Portifino, you make living in new farm all worth it!!

I recently visited this restaurant on a Friday evening. On arrival I was a little concerned as the decor was a little like a coffee shop. How wrong I was. The food was absolutely delightful. We shared Bruschetta and a Tomato and Boconcini Salad as a starter and we were blown away by the flavours and quality of the tomatoes and balsamic reduction. We had Osso Buco for main and it was just beautiful. We raided the cake and biscuit display for dessert and we were not disappointed. This is a lovely and unpretentious cafe with great service and superior food. What a pleasure to find such a restaurant in Brisbane where you don't have to pay a fortune for great food. We have been so impressed we are returning for dinner tonight to try the pizzas.

We were very pleased that Cafe Portifino was one of only two restaurants open in the area on the Queen's Birthday holiday, and that we popped in there for lunch. Service was swift and friendly, and the food excellent. The Italian hot chocolate is to die for, and so is the variety of cakes at reasonable prices. Keep up the good work.

We recently visited Cafe Portofino as it was recommended by friends to celebrate my birthday. Service was warm and welcoming and the food was delightful. I started with the traditional Bruschetta and for mains had the Osso Bucco. My partner tried the pizza which was also enjoyable. To finish the night off we tried the chocolate pizza and this topped a lovely evening off. We even purchased some of the pastries for the next day as you just can't walk past them and walk out. Highly recommended.

We recently had a family breakfast in part celebration of a birthday, and decided on Portofino after having many very enjoyable experiences there. This is not one of them. The waitress took orders for 4 coffees, but only brought 3, and said something under her breath in Italian when we reminded her. I enjoyed my smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, but my partner ordered the pancakes, which weren't gently drizzled in sauce, but drowning in a thick sugary mess. I would not have served it to a customer. Next, I ordered a second flat white, which was delivered some time later with about half the cup being foam. I asked the waitress to remake it, which she did, with added attitude and further rudeness. We have since learned that the young Italian owner that was there on our previous visits has moved on, which would explain the drastic drop in service and quality. Time to find a new breakfast venue, i'm never going back.
