Caltex, 1 Knight Terrace, Denham

I'd rather walk from Denham to Overlander than spend another cent at the Caltex in Denham. The staff are surly and rude! They make their livelihood from the tourist industry - the least they can do is try to be courteous. They made a fortune from the fishermen attending the Shark Bay Fishing Fiesta last week but made nothing but snide remarks about them not being "dinkum fishermen". They will not let you get cash out, you have to use the ATM which charges you a $2 transaction fee but if you don't spend any money either on fuel or in the shop you aren't allowed to use the ATM. If you can't treat people in a civilized fashion you shouldn't be working with the public! If you are visiting Shark Bay rather use the fuel pumps at the IGA, the staff there are friendly and they allow you to get cash out without any dramas. All the other locals we met in Shark Bay were wonderful and made you feel so welcome in their town but the mob at the Caltex are a disgrace to country Aussies!
