Atmosphere was superb in the conservatory, it was my first visit and I'll be back, back, back. My friends and I were very impressed with the decor, the menu the drinks selection and the relaxed atmosphere created by the staff, we did have one small issue with the food order but it was dealt with very well. thanks guys, great time was had!!!!!!!!

I've been to carnegies on many occasions, usually on the weekend and always had a good night, so i decided to try it out on sunday with their live irish jam session and it was awesome! good busy crowd in, everyone there to have fun, even if they may not remember it the next day! The staff are really friendly and talkative and the musicians sounded great, I can't wait to go back there and drag my friends along with me!

The Bouncers And Being Asked To Leave: In what seems a common theme, I attended Carnegies with a small work group for Friday night drinks. After ordering two rounds of drinks over a two hour period, talking amongst ourselves, having a dance, not being disruptive/abusive, I was asked to leave and upon asking why was advised "I believe you need some fresh air". I was quickly turned round, hand lock applied and pushed down the back stairs and out the front doors. Not wanting to go back in, and at of a loss as what to do next, I stood outside and couldn't help but notice a heated argument begin between the bouncers at the front door and a slightly more intoxicated male than myself who had been given the same treatment as me. The male in question was concerned that his girlfriend was still in the bar, would not be aware that he was outside, and he was asking for the staff to relay this message to his gf. Unfortunately the situation was dealt with terribly and turned physical. Not a pretty sight, the male was provoked verbally, and the bouncers certainly did not hesitate putting the boot in. The drinks are good, cokctails ace, prices reasonable, the cheesy music (80s-00s pop, rap and r&b) can get you up and partying if you're in the mood, but it's not easy to relax when indefinite criteria is being applied and you are aware you could be asked to leave just by being there in the first place. Go here if you don't find somewhere else nicer would be my advice to other would be punters.
