My church

The ugliest church in Brisbane! As a catholic I'm disappointed with the standard of churches that has Been built in the last 30 years, this place is no exception. This cathedral has been butchered to fit into the 'spirit of Vatican 2' which is bogus. Vatican 2 does not ask for altars to be ripped out or for disgusting almost pornographic statue of Jesus on the cross to be erected. And all this is done in the name of 'making the the church a more welcoming and communal place'...here's an idea, if you want to make the church a more welcoming place, stop hating on the gays and lesbians, divorced people, actually give women a real role In the church. Altering traditional church architecture isnt the way to go about doing it. If you want a truly catholic style of worship and worshiping god in the beauty of holiness then go to the Anglican cathedral...they are more catholic than the catholic diocese of brisbane and far more welcoming of all people including gays, lesbians, divorced people and of course they have women clergy. That is true equality...not the bogus idea that if u rip out everything that traditional your going make the church are more welcoming place.

Virgin Mary... A different view... With a very welcome gesture

Great place to worship God. Nice benches to kneel and feel in contact with the Almighty. Special place to put orphan kids. Have sins, not to worry, sinners are welcome. Confess and feel fine.
