Great fresh food, the dishes are very fresh and not flooded with sauce. The food is very authentic and from the time you get off the ferry it takes about 10 minutes until your food is ready to eat

As far as cheap Thai goes in Manly, you're pretty safe with Chat Thai. Prices have gone up a bit since they renovated, however it's still really reasonable. The bill came to just $23 for two of us for dinner. I had the holy basil noodles (#55?) which were delicious. Get it takeaway and eat it on the wharf or beach for something a bit different.

Nothing like the original Chat Thai. Overpriced, Aussie Thai.

A take-away oriented edition of the popular Chat-Thai chain. Good value and noticeably more authentic than other places. Due to being housed in the Manly ferry terminal, it's not a normal/good eating location. Tasty & consistent - it's been a favourite of mine for many years. Gets mobbed at evenings & weekends.

Used to be awesome, but they up-scaled and ruined it. Used to be able to get a plate of food for under $10, quick. Now they've turned it into a sit-down joint with 'ambience,' doubled the prices, shrunk the order size and ruined what they had going. The 'ambience' now includes homeless people eyeing your left-overs and feral animals walking through the place. Who wants to eat a restaurant priced meal in a busy, smelly, cold ferry terminal? Too bad, used to be my fav. Go to Mortar and Pestle instead, way fresher and bigger sized portions for the same price - and much nicer ambience.
